Marshall Guitar Amps – Introduction

The well known and popular Marshall Guitar Amplifier Company is a British company which makes and designs amplifiers from scratch.

Jim Marshall was the founder of Marshall Guitar Amplifiers opening his first store in London in the 1960’s and today Marshall Guitar amps are one of the most well known brands in the music industry.

Some of the well known Marshall Guitar amps a consumer maybe familiar with is the Marshall MS2 mini guitar amplifier , the Marshall MS4, the Marshall MC412A angled guitar speaker cab or even the Marshall 1960BV straight guitar speaker cabinet. These are all high speech Marshall amps used by many well known top musicians around today.

The Marshall guitar amps work in a more unique way to create a heavier sound than other guitar amps and as well as Marshall producing high performance guitar amps they all produce less expensive solid state devices.

Fender Amps – Introduction

Fender musical is one of the top well known manufacturers across the world for amplifiers, guitars and other related instruments. Growing since 1946 with the things of rock ‘n’ roll and with the likes of “Buddy Holly” to “Eric Clapton”, Fender are still expanding and growing strong today.

Fender Musical Instrument Corporation (FMIC) are based in Scottsdale, Arizona with many manufacturing facilities in California USA and Mexico. They make some of the most amazing sound instruments we could ever imagine with such high quality and performance.

These instruments include the solid body electric guitars such as the much loved Stratocaster.

Although Fender were not the first manufacturer to produce electric guitars , they are in deed one of the most successful. Fender also produces acoustic guitars, banjos, violins and electric bases in addition guitar amplifiers and base amplifiers to name a few.

At the end of 2007 Fender brought a collaborated with Kamos Music Corporation.

Kustom Amps – Introduction

Kustom amps began in the mid to late 60’s and they amps were sold mainly on their appearance. Kustom was founded by Rod Ross in Chanute Kansas; he was a compulsive gambler and ironically lost the whole company during a poker game.

The first Kustom amps were available in a variety of colours such as gold sparkle, blue sparkle, teal which they named cascade sparkle in addition having grey being charcoal sparkle and of course if the sparkle wasn’t for you then the matt black was also available to the consumer. Many amplifiers have the vacuum tube base design but Kustom amplifiers featured solid state circularity.

Through many of the brand amplifiers Kustom amps are known to be more collectable pieces.

Top well known musicians such as Motown and Rockabilly originally began using these amps. There are many other musicians known to use Kustom amplifiers in live performances like Dusty Murphy, Sheryl Crow, Johnny Cash and the Jackson 5 to name just  a few.

In 2005 Kustom began incorporating tube pre-amplifier and power amplifiers in some of its models and designs.
